January 15.... Day 1
I did it! I am posting a message! I have to admit that for the past couple years I have avoided the Internet because I feared it so much! I am realizing quickly though, how beneficial it can be. I enjoyed just observing the different blogs educators had up for parents, teachers, and even students to read. It was fantastic!
One day I will be a teacher! To know that teachers are learning how to be more tech savvy and are being taught to use useful tools like blogging is amazing and so exciting! When I was browsing other educators blogging sites, I was extremely impressed. To be honest, I was not sure what to expect, and was interested in all the information that was on each blog. Not only was there information, but also tons of pictures.
There is no doubt I can use blogging in my teaching career. When I was browsing the other blogs, I thought about the parents that have their child's picture on the blog holding the games, or playing with the other classmates. Although I am not a parent yet, I know that must be exciting to see your child at school or on a field trip and know they are learning and having fun. I can use blogging to do the same for the parents and build a trust with them. To leave your child with someone for a whole day sounds scary and if I can blog about what we did or how their son/daughter did, I feel it will be more comforting for them.
So today was the first day of blogging, but not my last!
